How to moderate users and ban/unban them from discussions using the Profiles widget?
The Profiles widget provides a centralized location for administrators to manage user activity, including moderating posts and banning/unbanning users from discussions without navigating between different platform areas.

Understanding Your Options:
When managing user behavior on your platform, you have two primary actions available through the Profiles widget:
- Moderate Posts: Moderate all posts from a specific user
- Ban/Unban from Discussions: Prevent/Restore user's access to Discussions

Accessing the Profiles Feature & User Management Options:
- Navigate to the Games Management section in the left sidebar
- Select Profiles
- Search for the user by name/nickname or profile ID
⚠️ Important: The search is case-sensitive, so capital and lowercase letters matter!
Example: If you're looking for a user named "Randomprofile123":
- Searching for "randomprofile123" (lowercase 'r') will return no results
- Searching for "Randomprofile123" (uppercase 'R') will find the profile successfully
- Click the three dots icon (⋮) in the Actions column for the user
- Select either "Moderate Posts" or "Ban/Unban from Discussions"
Moderating User Posts:
When you choose to moderate a user's posts:
- A confirmation dialog will appear
- Enter the reason for moderation in the provided field
- Click the Moderate button to confirm and moderate all posts for the user

Banning Users from Discussions:
When you choose to ban a user from discussions:
- Select the ban duration from the dropdown menu:
- 1 day
- 7 days
- 14 days
- 30 days
- INDEFINITE
- Custom period
- If selecting "Custom period," enter the specific number of days
- Provide a ban reason in the text field
- Click the Ban button to confirm
💡 Important: Banned users will display a "BANNED" indicator next to their username in the Profiles widget, making it easy to identify their status.
Unbanning Users from Discussions:
If you need to reverse a ban before its scheduled end date:
Find the banned user in the Profiles widget (look for the "BANNED" indicator)
- Click the three dots icon (⋮) in the Actions column
- Select "Unban from Discussions" from the dropdown menu
- Review the ban details (ban date, duration, and reason)
- Enter an unban reason in the provided field
Click the Unban button to confirm
🔔 Note: Once unbanned, the "BANNED" indicator will be removed from the user's profile in the Portal, and they'll regain the ability to participate in discussions.
