Build Engaging Games Around Your Users' Favorite Teams
Transform any collection of football teams into an engaging prediction game where users compete, climb rankings, and win rewards. Teams Templates are the foundation for creating popular gamification experiences like team-specific predictors, single & multi-team leaderboards, and dedicated fan prediction contests.
This comprehensive guide will walk you through creating and managing Teams Games using the Management Portal, covering all necessary configurations and optional customization features to build compelling user experiences.
What You Can Build with Teams Games
Teams Games serve as versatile templates that power various engaging experiences:
- Team-Specific Predictors - Football prediction games where users forecast match outcomes for their favorite team across one or more prediction markets in order to climb rankings and win rewards (e.g., "Manchester United 2024/2025 Prediction Master!")
- Multi-Team Leaderboards - Prediction leaderboards where users compete across matches involving multiple selected teams throughout the season like "Big Six Premier League Teams Challenge"
- Other Fan-Focused Contests - Any other dedicated prediction games built around specific team/s combinations or rivalries
All Teams Games come with built-in leaderboard functionality where user points for predictions made on eligible matches involving the chosen teams are automatically calculated. This makes them perfect for gamification - users can compete for rankings, earn rewards, and stay engaged with your platform while following their favorite teams!
Real-World Example: A Bulgarian platform created season-long leaderboards for major European teams and local Bulgarian clubs. Users navigate to a 'Rankings' page and use the 'By teams' dropdown to switch between team-specific leaderboards - from Inter Milan to Levski Sofia. Each team has its own dedicated ranking, creating focused fan communities competing around their favourite teams.

Required Configuration
The fields described below are required to create a functional Teams Game. These core settings must be completed before your Teams template can be saved or launched.
Name
A required field for every Teams Game. Provides a clear, recognizable title for your prediction experience and can be edited even after game creation. In most client implementations, this title is prominently displayed to users and serves as the main indicator of the prediction feature's purpose and focus. We advise you to choose names that clearly communicate the team/s focus, such as "Manchester United Predictor 2024/25" or "Premier League Big Six Challenge"
Teams Selection
The core foundation of your Teams Game that determines which team/s predictions will count towards this leaderboard. Each Teams Game can focus on multiple teams - select one or more specific teams to build your prediction experience around.
Search for team names and select from the dropdown menu. This selection automatically includes all matches involving your chosen teams within the specified timeframe. Unlike Competition Games that focus on a single competition, Teams Games give you the flexibility to create cross-competition experiences by selecting teams that may play in different leagues and tournaments.
Time Range Configuration
You must set both start and end dates ('from' and 'to' dates) to define the exact period your Teams Game will cover. These dates determine which predictions for the selected team/s will fall within and count for the leaderboard.
Market Selection
Select which prediction markets will count towards the leaderboard rankings in your Teams Game. This selection directly impacts user engagement and the complexity of your prediction experience.
Click 'Show All' to view and select from the complete range of available markets, organized into the following categories:
- Popular: 1X2 at full-time, Both teams to score, Double chance, Correct score, Over 9.5 corners in the match
- Player related: Yellow card for a player, Red card for a player, Player to score in match, Player to score first goal, Player to score twice, Player to score a hat-trick
- Goals: Over 0.5 goals in the match, Over 1.5 goals in the match, Over 2.5 goals in the match, Over 3.5 goals in the match, Over 4.5 goals in the match, Over 5.5 goals in the match, Over 6.5 goals in the match
- Corners: Exact number of corners in match, Over 6.5 corners in the match, Over 7.5 corners in the match, Over 8.5 corners in the match, Over 9.5 corners in the match, Over 10.5 corners in the match, Over 11.5 corners in the match, Over 12.5 corners in the match, Over 13.5 corners in the match
