Related Functionality

The Related field is a powerful content linking tool available across multiple features that allows you to establish meaningful connections between different content items. You can enhance user engagement by creating intentional content journeys, sequential progressions, and conditional access rules between related items.


Relationship Types 

The Related field allows you to configure three essential elements:

  • Content Type: Select the type of content you want to link to, such as: Classic Quiz, Top X, Match Quiz or any other availalbe content type
  • Entity: After selecting a content type, choose the specific entity (e.g., a particular quiz) from the available items of that type
  • Relationship: Define the nature of the connection between contents by selecting one of the following relationship types:
    • Related to
    • Blocks
    • Blocked by
    • Bonus points game
    • Next in series
    • Previous in series

How It Works

When you create a related content link:

  • Choose the content type from the dropdown menu
  • Select the specific entity you want to link to
  • Define the relationship type to establish how these content items interact
  • Click "Save" to confirm the relationship
  • The system will enforce the defined relationship rules based on your configuration

Use Cases

The Related field is particularly valuable for:

  • Creating sequential content journeys (e.g., quiz series or tournaments)
  • Establishing prerequisites before users can access certain content
  • Recommending related content to enhance user engagement
  • Building bonus point systems to reward user participation
  • Organizing content thematically around events, topics, or campaigns

Locating the Related Field Functionality

  1. Go to 'Manage' - Game type (e.g., Match Quiz/Top X/Classic Quiz)
  2. Create or open an already created game
  3. Look for the 'Related' field in the game configuration section

Setting Up Content Relationships

  1. Click on the 'Content Type' dropdown to select the type of content
  2. Choose a specific entity from the available options
  3. Select the appropriate relationship type

Managing Added Relationships

After adding relationships, they will appear at the top of the Related field section:

  • Each relationship is displayed as a card showing the content entity name and its status (e.g., "SETTLED")
  • The relationship cards also include  a delete option (red trash icon) to remove unwanted relationships
  • You can add multiple relationships by repeating the process
