How to Create and Manage Top X Badges

Learn how to create and manage Top X badges using the Management Portal. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up badges that recognize and reward user achievements in Top X games, highlighting the necessary and optional configurations for creating engaging recognition systems.

Accessing Top X Badges Creation Page

🚀 All Top X management features are now centralized in one convenient location! Instead of navigating to different sections, you can now access configuration, games management, leaderboards, reports, and badges all from the same interface.

To access the Top X Badges Management Page:

  1. In the left sidebar, navigate to the Manage section
  2. Select Top X Games from the menu
  3. Click on the Badges tab located at the top of the Top X management interface (next to Games, Leaderboards, Reports, and Configuration)
  4. Click the Add Badge button to start creating a new badge

Necessary Fields

ID - A required unique identifier for every Top X Badge. This field helps distinguish different badges in your system.

Label - A required field that provides the display name for your badge. In most implementations, this is what users see when they earn or view the badge.

Requirements - A required field that defines the criteria users must meet to earn the badge. This section includes two key metrics:

  • Points: Set the minimum number of Top X points a user must accumulate to earn the badge
  • Participations: Set the minimum number of Top X games a user must participate in to earn the badge

These requirements determine the specific achievements or milestones that trigger badge awards in Top X games.

Optional Fields

  1. Image - Optional visual element for your badge that can further enhance user recognition and engagement. You can either upload a custom image using the Upload Image button or select from available Sportal365 Images (if available to you).
  2. Flags - Allows you to add searchable tags or categories to your badges. Type your desired flag and press enter to add it. Useful for organizing and filtering badges by themes, difficulty levels, or achievement types.
  3. Description - Provides context about the badge and its requirements. Supports rich text formatting for enhanced presentation.
  4. Badge Status Toggle - Enable/disable individual badges using the toggle switch. Active badges (green toggle) are available for users to earn, while inactive badges (gray toggle) are hidden from users but preserved in the system.

💡 Badges can be used to gamify the Top X experience and encourage continued participation. Consider creating a badge strategy that rewards different levels of achievement in Top X games.

🚨 Important Notes

  • Always Save your changes after configuring or modifying badges
  • Multiple badges can be managed simultaneously from the same interface - each appears as a separate card with toggle and delete options
  • Badge images should be clear and visually appealing to encourage user engagement
  • Disabled badges are preserved in the system, so you can reactivate them later without losing configuration
