Engagement Report - Engagement Segments

The Engagement Segments tab in the Engagement Report provides a detailed breakdown of users based on their engagement levels. These segments are predefined and categorize users into different profiles based on their activity, helping you understand the distribution of your audience and tailor your strategies accordingly.

Default Engagement Segments:

  1. Fanatics:
    • Highly engaged users who consistently interact with your platform. These users often follow multiple sports and consider sports a significant part of their lives.
  2. Fans:
    • Regular users who follow a few sports or teams closely. They engage frequently but might not explore as broadly as Fanatics.
  3. Casual Users:
    • Users who engage with your platform occasionally. They may browse content out of curiosity rather than passion for a particular sport or team.
  4. New Users:
    • Recently registered users who are in the early stages of engagement (highest recency, lowest frequency). Their activity levels are still developing.
  5. At-Risk Users:
    • Users who were once active but have shown a decline in activity. These users are at risk of becoming inactive if not re-engaged.
  6. Inactive Users:
    • Users who have not engaged with your platform for an extended period. These users may require significant re-engagement efforts or can be considered lost.

By default, Fans United provides this default/recommended list of segments (specified above). Refer to our Engagement Coefficient Feature for more information.

Filtering by Sports Entity

The engagement coefficients can be calculated not only for overall activity, but for specific sports entities as well.(Competitions, teams & Players). You need to configure the whitelist of competitions, teams & players that the ECs (Engagement Coefficients) will be calculated for. You can do that from our Engagement Coefficients Feature.

Using Engagement Segments:

  • Tailored Content: Provide customized content or offers to each segment to enhance engagement. For example, offer exclusive content to Fanatics or special incentives to At-Risk users to encourage them to return.
  • Targeted Campaigns: Use these segments to create targeted marketing campaigns, ensuring that each user group receives the most relevant communication.

By leveraging the insights provided by the Engagement Segments tab, you can effectively cater to different user types and boost overall engagement on your platform.
