Match Quiz Feature Overview and Display Guidelines

The Match Quiz feature challenges users to predict the outcomes of specific markets within a football match. It’s an engaging and competitive tool that encourages participation and can be customized to suit different games, leagues, and teams.

Display Guidelines
On the Match Quiz game page, users should be able to easily navigate and access all relevant information, such as winners, standings, rules and prizes. The layout should be similar to the Top X feature with tabs for standings, winners, and rules. Here are some display considerations:

  • Game Page Layout: Like the Top X feature, the Match Quiz game page should include tabs for Play, Rankings, Winners (after the game has finished), Rules and Prizes. Ensure that the Play tab is the default view, where users can easily start making predictions. Other tabs should provide access to additional information like current standings and past winners. Consider adding a sponsor section if applicable.

  • Market Separation: It’s essential to distinctly separate the different markets (questions) for each match. You can display them in a straightforward list format or present them in a step-by-step, wizard-style interface for better user engagement. Numbering the markets helps guide users through the process. If you choose the wizard approach, make sure to include a summary slide where users can review all their predictions before submitting them.

  • Prediction Inputs: The input method should be simple and user-friendly, ensuring that users can easily make their predictions with just a click. For example, a drop-down menu or a set of clickable options for each market can make the process intuitive. Avoid requiring users to type their predictions, as this could complicate the user experience.

  • Helpful Stats: Consider providing users with helpful statistics to inform their predictions. This could include the current form of both teams over their last 5 matches & head-to-head results. Displaying these stats beneath the markets can boost user engagement and confidence in making predictions.

Practical Application
The Match Quiz feature provides opportunities to boost user engagement and participation through:

  • Customization for Specific Markets: Tailor the quiz to focus on key aspects of high-profile matches, creating excitement and user involvement.
  • Increased User Retention: By offering regularly updated quizzes and providing a leaderboard system, users are incentivized to return and compete.
  • Sponsorship Potential: The Match Quiz feature is an ideal sponsorship platform, allowing brands to engage a dedicated user base through prize offerings or branded content.
