User Preferences Overview

The Preferences feature is a powerful tool that allows you to collect and store user preferences across various categories. This interactive feature enhances user personalization capabilities by giving your platform the ability to track individual user preferences, enabling targeted content, personalized rewards, and deeper audience insights.

Key Features and Benefits

The Preferences feature enriches your platform with the ability to create customized preference categories and specific preferences within those categories. Users can indicate their preferences in their profiles or through interactive elements like polls, creating valuable user profile data that can be leveraged for personalization.

From the management portal, you can easily create and manage preference categories (such as Brand, Footwear, etc.) and specific preferences within those categories (like Nike, Adidas, The North Face). This structured approach to preference data collection allows for sophisticated audience segmentation and personalized experiences.

Accessing and Using Preferences

You can easily access the Preferences feature through your management portal by navigating to "Configuration" and selecting the "Profile preferences" tab. Once there, you can create new preference categories and add specific preferences within each category to build a comprehensive preference architecture tailored to your audience.

How Preferences Enhance User Engagement

Preferences can be connected to interactive features like polls, allowing you to simultaneously engage users while collecting valuable preference data. For example, a poll asking "What do you prefer: Nike or Adidas?" can automatically save the user's selection to their profile preferences. This data can then be used to:

  • Personalize content based on user preferences
  • Offer targeted rewards aligned with user interests
  • Create more relevant experiences for your audience
  • Gain deeper insights into your community's preferences

💡 Note: As the Preferences feature has just been released, detailed implementation examples are not yet available. Future documentation updates will include comprehensive guides on linking preferences to polls and other interactive elements, along with best practice recommendations. Stay tuned for more detailed implementation guidance!
