Embedding Content Lists in WordPress Posts and Pages

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for adding Fans United Content Lists to your WordPress content, with visual examples of the configuration process.


Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Installed and activated the Fans United Core plugin
  • Installed and activated the Fans United Mini Games plugin
  • Configured the Core plugin with your API credentials
  • At least one Content List created in your Fans United account

🧩 Adding a Content List Block

1. Create or Edit a WordPress Page/Post

  • Navigate to Pages or Posts in your WordPress admin
  • Select an existing page/post to edit or click "Add New"

2. Insert the Content List Block

  • Click the "+" button in the WordPress editor to add a new block
  • Search for "Fans United List of Content" or locate it in the Widgets category
  • Click on the Fans United List of Content block to add it to your content

3. Enter Your Content List ID

  • In the block settings, you'll see a field labeled "ENTER A FANS UNITED LIST ID"
  • Enter your Content List ID
    • The block will automatically generate an appropriate shortcode

4. Save and Preview

  • Click "Update" or "Publish" to save your changes
  • Use the WordPress preview function to see how your Content List appears on the page

📄 Using Shortcodes Instead of Blocks

You can also embed Content Lists with ShortCodes. A shortcode will be automatically generated at the bottom of the block settings panel whenever you configure a Content List block.

Troubleshooting

If your Content List isn't displaying correctly:

  • Verify that the Fans United Core plugin is properly configured with valid API credentials
  • Check that you're using the correct Content List ID
  • Check that the selected Content List is active in your Fans United account
