Loyalty Feature: Overview & Configuration

The Loyalty feature is a powerful tool that allows you to configure the weight of different user actions, set up points systems and tiers - all from one centralized location! By assigning different levels of importance to user behaviors and defining points & tiers, you can effectively monitor and boost user engagement.

Accessing the Loyalty Feature

To access and configure the Loyalty feature settings:

  1. Navigate to and click on the Features section in the left sidebar
  2. Select Loyalty from the expanded options
  3. From here, you can access and configure three main components: Actions Weight, Points, and Tiers

Actions

Different weights can be assigned to the actions that your users take on our platform. Using our reports, engagement can be calculated based on the assigned weights, allowing more significant engagements to have a higher impact. For example:

  • Clicking on a like/dislike button might have a weight of 2
  • Leaving a comment might have a higher weight of 5

πŸ“ Note about Action Weights:

Currently, the weights of different actions are preset with no option to manually change them. If you have questions about action weights or would like to request changes to the weights of specific actions, please feel free to reach out to our support team.

Points

Users can receive points for multiple actions they make on your platform. The points system allows you to configure whether users will receive points for actions like registering data on their accounts (e.g., birthdate, country, gender, avatar) and how many points will be awarded for any different types of activities.

The points are organized into several categories, currently including:

  • General: Basic user activities and profile completions (Registration, Adding Profile Interests, etc)
  • Predictor: Points Awarded for General prediction-related activities for different markets ( correct score, over/under goals, etc)
  • Activity: General engagement activities (Such as liking/disliking content)
  • Match Quiz: Match Quiz Participation Points (Points awarded for game participation for correctly predicting different markets)
  • Discussion Post: Discussions engagement activities (Such as making posts, receiving reactions, etc)
  • Voting: Voting-related activities (Voting in Polls or POTM)

πŸ“ Important Note about Points:

As part of our ongoing platform improvements, widget-specific point configurations are being moved to their respective widget management areas for easier access and organization:

  • Top X points have already been moved to the Top X widget. πŸ“š Read More Here
  • Match Quiz points will be moved to the Match Quiz widget. ✎ Articles Coming Soon
  • Classic Quiz points will be moved to the Classic Quiz widget ✎ Articles Coming Soon
  • Either/Or points will be moved to the Either/Or widget ✎ Articles Coming Soon

If you notice that certain point categories are missing from the Loyalty section, they have likely been moved to their respective widget management areas. This change allows for more streamlined management where all widget-related settings are centralized within each widget's configuration.

Tiers

The tiers are point thresholds that you can configure yourself. They serve as an incentive for users to engage and earn more points. You can add, remove, or modify tiers and their point configurations at any time.

To configure tiers:

  1. In the Loyalty configuration, navigate to the Tiers section
  2. For each tier, you can set:
    • Enabled: Whether the tier is active
    • ID: The unique internal identifier for the tier
    • Label: The display name for the tier
    • Points: The point threshold required to reach this tier
  3. Click the + button to add additional tiers
  4. Click Update Loyalty Features to save your changes
