How to Configure Football Fantasy

Configuring the Football Fantasy feature is a straightforward process that allows you to customize various aspects of your fantasy football game. This guide will walk you through the steps to set up your fantasy game effectively.

Step-by-Step Configuration

Step 1: Point Calculation Integration

  • Decide whether you want the points calculated in the fantasy game to be added to the users' profiles. If you want the points to contribute to the overall profile statistics, enable this option. This can increase user engagement by tying fantasy performance to their overall profile.

Step 2: Configure Coefficients

  • Next, configure the points for each action within the game. The sections you’ll need to configure include:
    • Goals: Define how many points are awarded for various types of goals:
      • Forward's goals
      • Midfielder's Goals
      • Defender's Goals
      • Goalkeeper's Goals
      • Penalty goals
      • Own goals (negative points)
      • Conceded Goals (negative points)
    • Clean Sheets: Assign points for clean sheets based on player positions (goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards).
    • Cards: Configure the points for yellow and red cards. For example, a yellow card might deduct 1 point, and a red card could deduct 3 points.
    • Misc: Any additional metrics that you want to track and assign points to ((Assists, Shots, Offsides, Tackles, Saves, Shots On, Minutes played equal or over 60, Minutes played under 60, fouls committed, penalty committed, penalty won, penalty missed, caught ball.)

Step 3: Configure Player Settings

  • In this section, you’ll define the structure of the teams:
    • Total Players: Set the total number of players each team can have.
    • Positions: Specify the minimum and maximum number of players allowed in each position:
      • Goalkeepers
      • Defenders
      • Midfielders
      • Strikers

Step 4: Set Up the Competition Whitelist

  • Use the Competition Whitelist to specify which football competitions can be used for fantasy predictions. Ensure that all competitions added to this list are full-coverage to maintain the consistency and fairness of the game.

Final Step: Save Your Configuration

  • Once you’ve configured all the settings, save your changes. Your Football Fantasy feature is now ready to go live, offering a fully customized fantasy football experience to your users.

Practical Tips:

  • Review Regularly: Regularly review and update your configurations based on user feedback and performance data.
  • Test Configurations: Before launching, test your configurations in a controlled environment to ensure that the point allocations and player setups work as expected.
